Dug Me A Hole
A few months ago, while still unemployed, I decided to convert a particularly productive weed-growing section of lawn into a vegetable garden.
My flatmate and I dug a pretty serious hole out of what turned out to be, after about five centimetres of topsoil, iron-hard clay. We collected this into great piles on either side of our hole, planning to fill it in with some compost in a week or so.

Synergy
Yes, synergy is a hilariously ironic meaningless buzzword. But there is a damn good feeling you get from being part of a shared enterprise where everyone is enthusiastic and talented in equal measure. Is the word for that synergy? Maybe.
Bottom line is it’s been a ridiculously productive, fun day and I’ve got a dictaphone full of interviews to turn into stories tomorrow. It feels good...
